1.Drink eight glasses of water.

In singing you exerted more energy. Your body tend to get tired as well as your throat. The body will be stress and it will not be a good benefit in your body. It is important to get enough rest or relaxation after a long range of exerting energy. This will help the body to retain its function and it lessens the tension in your body. Therefore, maintain a good rest after singing to avoid stress.

3.You must wear comfortable clothing in singing.

In practicing singing, breathing is important. Good breathing exercise or diaphragmatic breathing is needed in improving your singing. This will enable the air to enter in the lungs and it will expand the stomach (abdomen) rather than the chest when breathing. It is generally considered a healthier and fuller way to ingest oxygen. To do this comfortably, it is often best to loosen tight-fitting pants/belts/skirts as these can interfere with the body's ability to intake air. While at first one may not feel comfortable expanding the stomach during breathing, diaphragmatic breathing actually fills up the majority of the lungs with oxygen, much more than chest-breathing or shallow breathing. Since, in singing more than half of your performance is all about breathing.

4.Wearing good and comfortable shoes is also must be consider.

A good feet placement is also necessary in maintaining posture during singing. It is not suitable to wear high heels during singing because this will tend to change your position and it will contribute a poor body posture as well. It will make you uncomfortable to sing. 5.Maintain a good standing.

Posture is the position in which you hold your body while standing, sitting and even in lying down. It keeps your bones and joints aligned so that your muscles are being used properly and efficiently. Maintain a good posture result a better benefits in your singing because your spine is straight, in which enhances your breathing. A slumped back compresses your chest, resulting in shallow, instead of deep, breathing. Healthy breathing not only provides ample oxygen to your lungs for long-term health, but also nourishes, in the form of internal vital energy, different parts of your body for maximum growth and restoration. Furthermore, a good posture can also affect your emotional well-being by boosting your confidence and self-esteem.

6.Shoulders should be down and your chest should be raised.

To do this, visualize that there is a long cord hanging from the ceiling that is connected to your upper chest area. This may be uncomfortable at first but with this position it will help you in a correct body posture. Also, you can look in the mirror while standing. Your ears, shoulders, hips, knees and ankles should make one straight line this will help you in maintaining your good posture.

7.Position your feet under your shoulders.

The feet should be foot apart and with this position it will gives you in control over your body. This will allow you to express yourself with slight body movements while singing because it gives well confident to sing.

8.One foot should be 6 to 8 inches in front of the other.

This position will allow you a greater control of your body. There is no particular which part of your feet will be first. It could be either right or left. But the most important to remember that if you are right handed your right foot will move first in front as well as the other left foot or in other way.

9.Slightly bend your knees.

When doing this position it is should not be obvious while performing. This position will help to prevent locking your knees while you are singing. Locking your knees will put your weight in the back of your foot and can cause straining to your part. Instead put your weight in your body with slightly emphasis in the feet.

10.Do not put anything in the mouth when singing.

In singing don't put any in your mouth like food or a simple gum. This can cause difficulty in singing and may falling in your mouth. The mouth must be clear. Before you will start singing avoid putting gum in your mouth and do away with out of it.

Learn How to Sing

Some people are born with the ability to sing beautifully and can just sing. But with a little practice we can all sing. A breath that expands the stomach, rib cage, and back area, will enable you to sing from the diaphragm and give power to your voice. To sing well, you need to practice breathing exercises daily. It is always a good idea that you sing with a piano scale to train your ears. With daily practice, you can become a great singer in no time. Practice makes perfect. Your vocal chords need to stretch in order to sing properly. In doing so, you need to make sure to stay in your range, not to be confused with tones or pitches.

Tips on singing:

  • Some people are naturally good at singing and are born with the talent, but with practice, we all can sing.
  • Warm up your voice before singing.
  • Find a vocal teacher.
  • Learn your vocal range.
